Casa Palopó

Singular Identity. Shared Vision

Above Lake Atitlán stands a house defined by altitude, color, and cultural depth. A property shaped by Mayan heritage, expressive interiors, and a strong sense of place. Our work focused on building a digital presence capable of holding that intensity while operating within a cohesive system conceived alongside Villa Bokéh.

— The Why —

A House Rooted in Ancestral Territory

Lake Atitlán is one of the most culturally layered landscapes in the region. Communities, textiles, gastronomy, and ritual coexist within visible reach of the property. Casa Palopó engages directly with that context, from its two restaurants to its visual language.

The challenge was not to romanticize this richness, but to structure it. To design a site that expresses cultural depth with clarity while remaining aligned within a broader multi-property vision.

Built as a Shared System

We developed a unified framework for Casa Palopó and Villa Bokéh. The same structure supports two distinct identities through color, imagery, and tone.

Culture as Structure

Designed for Discovery

Each room is unique. The navigation allows guests to discover them fluidly, preserving individuality while maintaining orientation and clarity.

Casa Palopó is defined by bold chromatic expression and curated interiors filled with art, textiles, and unique objects. We used illustration and color as storytelling tools, building a visual language that reflects the cultural richness of the lake while guiding the user with clarity and intention.

Immersion Before Design

We traveled to Lake Atitlán to understand its altitude, light, and cultural density. That immersion shaped every decision, from pacing and transitions to content tone and visual rhythm. The site is not decorative. It is informed by place.

— The How —

Design systems are not about uniformity. They are about cohesion.

By conceiving Casa Palopó and Villa Bokéh together, we created a digital foundation that keeps each identity distinct while ensuring long-term coherence. A structure that allows growth without fragmentation.
